Company History

Founded in 2003, Specialized Elevator Corporation is centrally located in Southern California in the City of Santa-Fe Springs. We are the largest independent elevator maintenance company in Southern California, operating out of our own 6000 square foot office building.

Our company is very well known in the industry, we hand pick future employees based on their experience in the industry; and our field mechanics are all Union Workers. Field employees serve a 5 year apprenticeship though the international union of Elevator constructors. We also provide on the job training and in house monthly classes and our equipment venders offer continuing education classes on an annual bases. Continuing education in the field of elevator maintenance is required by the State of California and we ensure that all our field employees retain their State License. We also sponsor our employees to attend vendor training and seminars to stay current in the industry. Monthly classes on specific equipment, on-site training and safety tailgate meetings are also a part of our effort to support employee performance excellence.

Services we provide
As a small business, Specialized Elevator offers a wide variety of services, which include modernization, maintenance service & repair, new installations and various ADA and code upgrades. Specialized Elevator also manufactures and repairs a variety of elevator and escalator components in-house. We can manufacture customized elevator fixtures with minimal lead times and retain the ability to restore existing elevator fixtures to comply with Historical Landmark Requirements.

Service base
Our service base covers Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties, with more than 1,000 elevators and escalators on service.

Modernization & New Installation
Our Modernization Department has installed over 1,000 Motion Control Systems. We have experience installing Motion Control on various applications dating back to 1985, from a 2 story condominium, to a 32 floor high rise building; and from a simple duplex system to a sophisticated 6 car group operation.

Brief history of the organization's Ownership
Our President, Don Webster, was one of the founders and owners of Elevator Specialty Corporation which was the largest independent elevator company in the Western United States. Elevator Specialty operated in Southern California from 1984 until 1998, when the company was purchased by Schindler Elevator.

We have taken that experience, knowledge and business philosophy to develop Specialized Elevator to be one of the leaders in the Southern California Elevator Industry. Our activities contributing to the development of expertise and capabilities for elevator maintenance include having over 1,300 elevators & escalators in service.     The State of California certifies Specialized Elevator Corporation as a certified contractor according to the Contractors State License Board (CSLB).

    The State of California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Occupational Safety and Health certify Specialized Elevator Corporation as a Certified Quality Conveyance Company according with the provisions of section 7311.3 California Labor codes.

    All of our mechanics hold the required license by the State of California Department of Industrial Regulations Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
